Emigrant Lake, Oregon

On Thursday 6/19, our two and a half year old grandson Isaiah was dropped off at our house so we could take him and our 6 year old grandson Elisha on the first weekend of our trip. We left Livermore on Friday at 4 am so that we could pick up Elisha in Sacramento on the way to Ashland Oregon. We made frequent stops at rest stops so the kids could stretch and run around for a while. We are meeting about 25 other Bongiornos in Ashland for our first Bongiorno Family reunion. We arrived at our camp site at around 4 in the afternoon ready for some fun and “relaxation”.
We stayed at Emigrant Lake Campground about 5 miles out of Ashland. It was a beautiful place to camp overlooking the lake. Besides the lake for boating and swimming, the campground has a nice play area for the kids and a water slide which the older kids and adults enjoyed very much. Being the camp director and keeping an eye the kids has taken a lot more time than I thought it would. I haven't had time to do any Geocaching even though there are about 4 caches hidden around the park that I would love to find.
Everyone wants to come back to this spot again next year.
